Contest Details
The Silent Book Contest – Gianni De Conno Award looks for complete, unpublished picture books told entirely through images; only a title and subtitle may appear as text. An international jury chooses ten to sixteen finalists, who are exhibited at the Bologna Children's Book Fair and the Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino in 2027. One winning project is then published by Carthusia Edizioni. A separate Junior prize is judged by school classes later in 2027.
